Shining through the Rain

Dale Moore · February 22, 2026 · 11:00 AM service

Preaching from David's last words in 2 Samuel 23, Dale Moore uses the picture of clear shining after rain to teach that trouble and trials are used by God to draw us closer to Him and make us more like His Son. He traces the pattern of rain and trial through Scripture, from Adam's cursed ground to the storms faced by Job, the three Hebrew children, Elijah, and Joseph, showing that God brings blessing and a clearer view of Himself through hardship. He calls believers to cleanse themselves with the Word, confess sin specifically and sincerely, and carry a burden in prayer for others who are going through their own storms.
