The Truth of Ministries
Paul Pierucki · August 16, 2026 · 10:00 AM service
Pastor Pierucki opens with 1 John 1 on walking in the light, confessing sin, and staying in fellowship with God, then applies the theme of truth to the ministry itself. He gives an unusually personal account of 36 years of service, including 12 years in Sturgis, deputation with five children, church planting and orphan work in Romania, and conflicts with pastors and workers who would not deal honestly. He warns that ministry brings real wounds and false accusations, insists that standing for the truth on salvation by grace, eternal security, and believer's baptism is always right, confesses of failures of his own, and closes with story after story of God's provision to show the blessings far outweigh the burdens.
“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. …”
